Stéphanie Goyer-Morin, artiste céramiste au travail

Stéphanie Goyer-Morin

Stéphanie Goyer-Morin is a ceramic artist who completed her formal training at Centre de Céramique Bonsecours in 2014. She also holds a bachelor of visual and media arts from the Université de Québec à Montréal, which she completed in 2009. As the founder of Goye artiste céramiste, Stéphanie creates sculptural and functional work in her Rosemont studio. Inspired by fairy tales, she also brings a dose of magical realism and absurdity to our day-to-day lives through objects that can tell stories and create a sense of wonder.

The process

Where vintage meets retro, my work is inspired by a love of everything feminine and delicate. I create beautiful objects that bring pleasure into your day-to-day. Simple as that!

My creative process is inspired by the repetitive and soothing movements that are foundational to my craft. As I work, clay slips through and sticks to my fingers, and objects with gentle, round forms start to take shape. I sign every piece by hand. This small gesture shows the care that goes into the making of each object.

Because I work with my hands, I take the time to carefully create each piece. And as the owner of a Goye original, you can take the time to truly enjoy using a handmade object. Choose to slow down while you drink your morning coffee. Cherish these moments and enjoy spending time with your loved ones. Each object has a history of its own before coming into your home and creating new memories. Take the time to share it with the people you love.
